The house operates as a guesthouse during the wintertime, between mid-October to the end of April. As we are a non-profit organization, this income helps us fund our activities and maintain the house. 

The house is a three-storey old farm that has been renovated since it was bought by the Icelandic Forestry Association in 2011. The house comprises: 6 guest rooms (hosting a maximum of 10 people at the same time), a kitchen and pantry, two bathrooms, a dining/living-room, a reading room and a laundry-room.

Pricing is a follow:

Full house (maximum of 10 people): 500 €/night.

Second floor:

• Room 1: double - 120€/night (view of the forest and sunset)

• Room 2: single - 90€/night (also used for residencies, includes a desk. View of Úlfljótsvatnskirkja church and the lake)

• Room 4: double - 120€/night (view of the mountain Búrfell and the lake Úlfljótsvatn)

 

First floor:

• Room 5: double - 120 €/night (also used for residencies, includes a desk. View of Úlfljótsvatnskirkja church and the lake)

 

Basement:

• Room 7: double – 100 €/night

• Room 8: single – 80€/night (view of Búrfell mountain. Can be used for a residency)
